Half days are possible in absence.io, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Here you’ll find the most common questions with a short answer and a link to the details. #### How is a half day calculated? For a half day, absence.io always splits the day at **exactly 12:00 noon**, regardless of the stored work schedule. If the morning is taken off, the target hours before 12:00 are removed; if the afternoon is taken off, the target hours after 12:00 are removed. If you use **Time Tracking**, keep this in mind for the work schedule: if the target hours aren’t evenly distributed before and after 12:00, for example with 6 to 10 am and 11 am to 3 pm, a half vacation day doesn’t result in half of the target hours.
