Fortunately, your company allows unused vacation days to be carried over to the new year. That means more vacation days for you in the new year — great! **Why aren’t my remaining vacation days considered when requesting leave for the new year?** absence.io can only consider your remaining vacation days **once the current vacation year is fully completed** and the **new vacation year has started**. Only at that point does the system know exactly how many days have actually been carried over. If you submit a leave request for the new year before that time, the system will **temporarily deduct the requested days from your new annual quota**.
