If you're traveling internationally or working from different time zones – no worries! **absence.io automatically adapts to your local time** and keeps your work hours accurate and consistent across all locations. #### 🕓 How does it work? You **don’t need to change anything manually** in the app. The system automatically detects your **device’s or browser’s time zone** and applies it to your time entries. Here's how: - **Clocking in / creating a new entry**: The **current time zone of your device** is saved to the entry. - **Clocking out**: The time zone of your machine is applied again at this moment. #### 🕓 Special Case: What happens if I work across time zones? If you clock in in Germany and clock out in Vancouver (e.g., during a flight), the system records the **exact** number of hours you worked — even across time zones. There’s no time lost or duplicated. Each time entry reflects your real working time, regardless of where you are. No, reports are always based on **how much time was worked per local day**, not on your admin’s time zone. So even if you cross time zones while working, your tracked hours remain 100% accurate.
