🕓 How does it work?
You don’t need to change anything manually in the app. The system automatically detects your device’s or browser’s time zone and applies it to your time entries.
Here's how:
Clocking in / creating a new entry:
The current time zone of your device is saved to the entry.Clocking out:
The time zone of your machine is applied again at this moment.
🕓 Special Case: What happens if I work across time zones?
If you clock in in Germany and clock out in Vancouver (e.g., during a flight), the system records the exact number of hours you worked — even across time zones. There’s no time lost or duplicated. Each time entry reflects your real working time, regardless of where you are.
When viewing an entry, the sidebar will show the time zone in which it was recorded for full transparency.
If you clock in again in a different time zone, a small globe icon appears to highlight the difference from your company’s default time zone.
🧾 Does this affect my reports?
No, reports are always based on how much time was worked per local day, not on your admin’s time zone. So even if you cross time zones while working, your tracked hours remain 100% accurate.
