[FAQ - Account Basics](https://info.absence.io/en/help-center/faqs?hsLang=en#faq-account-basics) # Does absence.io support two-factor authentication (2FA)? absence.io currently doesn’t offer its own two-factor authentication, e.g. via an authenticator app or SMS. You can still secure your login with 2FA or MFA: by using **single sign-on (SSO)** with a provider where you already use 2FA. #### How it works With SSO, users log in to absence.io with their account from **Google, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Slack or Okta**. If 2FA or MFA is enabled there, it also protects access to absence.io. You manage the 2FA settings directly with your provider. #### Setup 1. A user with the Owner, Admin or HR role activates the desired integration under **Settings** \> **Integrations**. For Okta, you can find the setup guide **[here](https://info.absence.io/en/help-center/okta-integration-sso-setup-guide?hsLang=en)**. 2. Each user then connects their account in their **profile** under **Integrations**. An admin can’t do this on behalf of the users. 3. Make sure 2FA or MFA is enabled with your provider for all users concerned.
